Emak is one of Italy's best employers for women

The Emak Group, which is quoted on the Euronext STAR Milan segment of the Italian Stock Exchange, has been recognised as one of “ITALY´S BEST EMPLOYERS FOR WOMEN 2024”, ranking among the 225 best employers for women in Italy in a survey carried out by the German Institute for Quality ITQF in conjunction with media partner La Repubblica Affari&Finanza.

Bagnolo in Piano (RE), 5 December 2023 – The Emak Group, one of the world's foremost producers of innovative solutions for gardening, agriculture, forestry and industry, is among the 225 best employers for women in Italy. This is according to a study conducted by the German Institute for Quality ITQF and its media partner La Repubblica Affari&Finanza which collated 10,671 ratings from 5,465 people to investigate value and respect for women's work. Through a panel, participants answered 18 questions on three main themes: work environment (which was given a weighting of 20%), attention to family (20%) and company policies specifically concerning women (60%).

As a result of the global pandemic, which precipitated the widespread introduction of flexible working, the importance of achieving work-life balance has become increasingly evident. For the Emak Group, people's well-being is a priority and corporate welfare measures have been adopted to ensure that employees maintain a good balance between their private and professional lives. These measures notably include individual smart-working agreements and a flexible working hours system. Furthermore, several Group companies allow parents of young children to work part-time so that they can look after their family's needs.

“We are proud to be one of the 29 Italian companies in the mechanical sector where women are happier to work,” said Guido Ghinazzi, HR Director of Emak. “Much has already been done in terms of work-life balance and equal pay, but our commitment is to continue working to promote gender equality at every level of the organisation and guarantee the best working environment in which our colleagues can develop their talents.”

The Group is committed to protecting diversity and guaranteeing equal opportunities, promoting the personal, professional and cultural growth of people without implementing or supporting any form of discrimination. In the processes of shortlisting and selecting job applicants, female candidates are always included when their profile meets the requirements of the vacancy.
