Bagnolo (Reggio Emilia), 2 October 2024 – Emak, European leader in the production and sale of power tools for the gardening, grounds maintenance and forestry sectors, presents the new professional models in the 54 line, which represent the top of the petrol engine brushcutter range offered by the Efco and Oleo-Mac brands.
Designed with the most innovative technical solutions, the new brushcutters with 53 cc engine ensure high performance, long life and maximum operator comfort, responding perfectly to the needs of maintenance contractors engaged in intensive and continuous work, such as cutting grass thickets, brushwood and shrubs, or cleaning roadside verges.
One of the strengths of the new brushcutter line is its reduced weight: the hollow drive shaft and magnesium engine cowling are just some of the components lightened to improve performance by reducing the overall weight of the machines.
The stone guard, with a modern, no-frills design, has also been lightened at the front and ensures high visibility and smooth running, whether over bumpy terrain or dense undergrowth.
The EasyStart system ensures greater comfort and reduces kickback thanks to a double spring inside the starter case.
The large-sized air filter in paper and sponge provide enhanced filtration capacity for long working times.
The folding rear handgrip covering the filler caps is ergonomic and provides access to the tanks without the need for tools.
The on/off switch returns automatically to the ON position after each stop, thus eliminating the risk of flooding the carburettor.
The new professional petrol engine brushcutter models are available in 4 versions: the Efco DS 5400 S and Oleo-Mac BC 540 S with single handgrip, the Efco DS 5400 T and Oleo-Mac BC 540 T with handlebar grip, the Efco DS 5400 Boss and Oleo-Mac BC 540 Master with handlebar grip and an advanced 4-spring anti-vibration system that significantly reduces vibration transmitted to the operator, and the Efco DSF 5400 and Oleo-Mac BCF 540 with professional double harness integrated into the ergonomic backpack. The backpack, equipped with height-adjustable shoulder straps and lumbar support in breathable material, enables the operator to work in complete freedom near to ditches, embankments and undergrowth thickets.
All models are equipped with the professional 3-tooth disc designed specifically for cutting back undergrowth.
