Emak obtains Gender Equality Certification to UNI/PdR 125:2022 from DNV, certifying the company's commitment to reducing the gender gap and promoting fairness.
Bagnolo in Piano (RE), 31 March 2025 – Emak, European leader in the production and sale of power tools for gardening and the forestry sector, has obtained Gender Equality certification to UNI/PdR 125:2022 from DNV. This recognition certifies the company's commitment to reducing the gender gap and promoting fairness through concrete and measurable policies. Emak's best performance was recorded in the areas of culture and strategy, governance, and HR processes, where the company went close to achieving a score of 100%.
“This achievement confirms our commitment to creating a fair and respectful work environment, where every person has the same opportunities for growth, regardless of gender," explained Luigi Bartoli, CEO of Emak Group. “The certification attests to the effectiveness of our policies and practices aimed at promoting gender equality in all settings. This recognition is just a first step, which encourages us to look with pride at what we have done so far and stimulates us to do even more to harness diversity as a strategic resource.”
For years, Emak has developed initiatives and programmes aimed at building an inclusive corporate culture, based on the centrality of people and the belief that diversity generates value.
When it comes to welfare, Emak guarantees flexibility for people with parental commitments and for caregivers, by implementing systems aimed at supporting parenthood and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
To spread the principle of gender equality within the organisation, Emak has launched awareness-raising and training initiatives, as well as strengthening governance and the monitoring of diversity and gender equality, promoting language that encourages dialogue and the overcoming of non-inclusive expressions or manifestations.
Thanks to this strategy aimed at reducing the gender gap and promoting fairness within the company, Emak aims to champion sustainable and lasting cultural change in the manufacturing sector—which is historically a male-dominated industry—demonstrating with concrete and measurable actions that innovation and inclusion can be levers of sustainable growth.
