Bertolini celebrates 100 years in business and launches the 407 S Limited Edition rotary cultivator

It was at the headquarters of Emak S.p.A. that a meeting was held recently to celebrate the centenary of the Bertolini company. The long-established Emilian firm, a century-old leading name in the production of agricultural machinery designed to optimize work in the fields, orchards and vegetable plots of growers everywhere, became part of the Emak Group in 2008.

In the course of the event, which brought together 80 dealers from all over Italy, visitors were given a presentation recounting the 100-year history of Bertolini Macchine Agricole: a story of local resources, cooperation and people, who with courage and innovation were intent on creating an enterprise that would last over time.

The meeting also provided those present with the chance to visit the manufacturing facilities, looking in particular at the production lines, quality control operations, automated warehouse and engineering department. There was great interest on the part of visitors in the experimental department, housed in recently renovated buildings, which utilizes advanced research methods and is equipped with hi-tech instrumentation.

Participants at the meeting were given a preview of the new 407S Limited Edition rotary cultivator, which features a restyling package created especially to celebrate the Bertolini centenary. Designed by Giugiaro and intended for intensive use, it has a differential lockable by means of a lever on the handlebars, ensuring optimum manoeuvrability and grip even when working on stubborn soils or slopes. The great strength of the machine is its ease of use.

Another moment to remember was the presentation of awards to 3 dealers who have been Bertolini customers for over 60 years: “Gaiani Rino” of Campodarsego (Padua), “Spagnolo” of Marostica (Vicenza) and “Sconfienza” of Mombercelli (Asti).

The centenary will be highlighted during the course of the year at points of sale and in current sell-out campaigns, culminating ultimately with a dedicated celebration at the forthcoming EIMA, Italy's International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition held in Bologna, 7 – 11 November 2018.
