Emak introduces the new Oleo-Mac HC 250 and Efco TG 2500 hedge trimmers: performance and reliability for home garden care

Designed for home users, the new hedge trimmers combine durability, cutting precision and ease of use, with a 25.4 cm³ engine, 60 cm blades and a handle that rotates through 180°. An entry-level solution offering particularly competitive value for money.

Bagnolo in Piano (Reggio Emilia), 28 October 2026 – The new Oleo-Mac HC 250 and Efco TG 2500 hedge trimmers are designed by Emak to meet the needs of home users looking for a reliable, easy-to-handle and straightforward tool for maintaining hedges and shrubs.

The new models sit at the entry level of the range, combining performance, robust construction and excellent value for money. Equipped with a 25.4 cm³ two-stroke engine delivering 0.95 HP (0.7 kW), they provide the power needed for everyday home garden maintenance, ensuring consistent performance over time.

Particular attention has been paid to component quality and durability. The engine features a chrome-plated cylinder, a piston with two rings, and a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rod: design features intended to ensure reliability even under demanding operating conditions. The aluminium gearbox, with its bearing-supported mechanism, contributes to the strength and efficiency of the transmission.

The cutting assembly features 600 mm double steel blades with a 35 mm tooth pitch, fitted with cutting edges at the tips to ensure a clean, precise cut without damaging or fraying branches, for a neat hedge finish.

Ergonomics and comfort are also key strengths of the new hedge trimmers. The 180° rotating rear handle, operated by a single lever, allows users to adjust their grip to different working positions, making both horizontal and vertical cutting easier. The anti-vibration system with four damping springs also helps reduce vibrations transmitted to the operator, limiting fatigue during use.

Ease of use is further enhanced by the EasyOn system, which makes starting easier, and AlwaysOn, which makes ignition control practical and intuitive. The synthetic felt air filter, with its high filtration capacity, allows longer maintenance intervals.

With a weight of 5.1 kg, the new Oleo-Mac HC 250 and Efco TG 2500 hedge trimmers feature a transparent nylon fuel mixture tank that allows the fuel level to be checked at a glance.
