The new H series Oleo-Mac BCH 310 S and Efco DSH 3100 S models feature an engine with 4-stroke technology and overhead valve (OHV) distribution that reduces noise emissions and fuel consumption: -85% hydrocarbon and -65% nitrogen oxide emissions compared with a conventional 2-stroke engine, to protect the health of the operator and the surrounding environment.
Bagnolo (Reggio Emilia), 19 June 2024 – Emak, European leader in the production and sale of power tools for gardening and the forestry sector, presents the new brushcutters in the “H” series, the Oleo-Mac BCH 310 S and the Efco DSH 3100 S, designed for tidying lawns or trimming edges in a quieter and more eco-friendly way.
They incorporate a new engine with 4-stroke technology and overhead valve (OHV) distribution, which produces no smoke or unpleasant odours, while also reducing vibration and noise.
Compared with a conventional 2-stroke engine, the new engine limits noise emissions and fuel consumption, ensuring a reduction of 85% in hydrocarbon emissions and 65% in nitrogen oxides, to protect the health of the operator and the surrounding environment.
The digital coil with electronic control ensures smooth starting and improved performance with consistently even combustion and lower fuel consumption.
Numerous technical solutions have been introduced to enhance performance and maintain the longevity of the machines: the large paper filter provides excellent filtering ability and a hermetic seal against microparticles due to the external gasket. The filter cover, secured with two screws, is easily removable to facilitate maintenance. The robust and compact plastic tank protection prevents damage to the tank while the machine is being used and transported. In addition, thanks to the AlwaysOn system, the ON/OFF switch automatically returns to the ON position after each switch-off, avoiding the risk of engine flooding.
The Oleo-Mac BCH 310 S and Efco DSH 3100 S brushcutters are reassuringly easy to use, thanks to the primer and choke controls that facilitate starting, as well as the EasyOn device, composed of a double spring in the starter casing combined with a driver with two ratchets, which ensures less effort with each pull and quick starting with fewer rope pulls. The muffler grille can itself be detached for easier maintenance.
Comfort is at the forefront too, thanks to the special anti-vibration system which minimises the transmission of vibration to the body so that operators can work longer hours without fatigue. The adjustable aluminium handlebar gives lightness and sturdiness to the machine, which is equipped with a Ø 110 mm Tap&Go EVO head with Ø 2.4 mm line.
