1972
Incorporation of Oleo-Mac and the first chainsaw
With the founding of Oleo-Mac, Ariello Bartoli introduces a new way of approaching chainsaw production. The 260 model, the brand's first product, marks the beginning of a story built on innovation, reliability and vision.
1978
Incorporation of Efco and the first brushcutter
Efco is established thanks to the vision of Giacomo Ferretti, who founded the company on solid principles of innovation and quality. The first brushcutter, launched that same year, is the company’s concrete response to growing market demand.
1992
Two brands, one shared vision: Emak is founded
The management teams of Oleo-Mac and Efco join forces and pool expertise to create a single company that is even more competitive and dynamic, ready to grow and innovate in the market.
1997
Opening of the production plant in Pozzilli
A plant designed for the production of lawnmowers and other wheeled products.
1998
Listing on the stock exchange
Emak is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
1999
Emak's expansion process begins
A major expansion process gets underway in Europe with the opening of the first subsidiaries in France, Spain and the UK. This strategic step consolidates the presence of Emak in Europe, strengthening the link with local markets and expanding growth opportunities.
2001
Entry into the STAR segment of the Milan Stock Exchange
We join the new segment of the Italian Stock Exchange, which was created for outstanding mid-sized companies that are committed to good governance, liquidity and transparency of information.
2004
Creation of production plant in Jiangmen
The opening of the Jiangmen production plant allows our company to embrace new challenges and new opportunities, catering to new markets and additional customer groups, while upholding the production standards of the parent company.
2005
Subsidiary opens in Poland
We strengthen our international presence with the acquisition of our distributor in Poland.
2008
Creation of production plant in Tailong
The acquisition of the Tailong production plant enables us to take ownership of technology for producing cylinders, a key component in our products.
2008
Acquisition of Bertolini
A milestone that enables us to introduce a line of products for medium-sized agriculture, thereby complementing our sales network.
2009
Opening of a new spare parts hub
The hub, designed based on the most innovative technology, enables us to deliver excellent service to all customers worldwide. This forward-thinking, resolute and courageous decision results in the doubling of our order handling capacity.
2010
Partnership with Hilti
Emak signs an industrial partnership agreement with Hilti, a world leader in the construction sector, aimed at joint technological development for new power cutter models.
2011
Sales subsidiary in Ukraine is set up
We acquire Epicenter in Ukraine.
2012
Creation of sales subsidiary in Brazil
The sales subsidiary Emak do Brasil is built.
2017
Launch of our e-commerce portal
We launch a portal where our consumer and professional customers can purchase machines, accessories and technical gear to help them better care for and maintain green spaces. But also a direct line to our service centres and the entire network of official dealers, who to this today manage the entire shipment process for products purchased online.
2018
100 years of Bertolini
100 years of history of the Bertolini brand: a story of local resources, cooperation and people whose determination, courage and innovation created a business that would stand the test of time.

Opening of the new engineering centre
