Development of product
The development of a product starts from an idea that is first conceived and then shaped around the customer's real needs. From this derives all the technical and technological solutions that we apply to improve the experience, make the product easier to use and ensure maximum performance, simplicity and practicality.

THE TECHNOLOGIES
One of the core components of our machines is the powertrain, which essentially characterises the product. Over the years we have invested in and developed technologies with combustion engines (2-stroke and 4-stroke) and battery-powered electric motors. Teams of specialised and dedicated engineers are tasked with evolving these technologies and solutions with the aim of coming up with increasingly high-performance and sustainable products.
Combustion engine
Since 1972, Emak group has been developing innovative combustion engines with a particular focus on two-stroke models that are lightweight, reliable and designed for those who work outdoors in uncompromising conditions. Our four-stroke solutions, designed in-house, complement our product offering for applications requiring greater precision and quieter operation, while fully respecting the environment.
Battery
The development of battery-powered products is one of the most recent evolutions in the history of Emak group. We develop this technology in-house with the aim of ensuring reliable and sustainable performance. Combining innovation and functionality, we offer ideal solutions for those who respect the environment whilst demanding efficiency without compromising on quality.
Combustion engine
Strato
Uncompromising in their efficiency, stratified charge engines represent the present and future of portable applications. With this engine technology it is possible to increase performance whilst also lowering consumption. It also drastically reduces polluting emissions, making our engines even more environmentally friendly.
Catalyst
Our research is not limited to engine development, but also extends to the in-depth study of the exhaust line. Thanks to research and collaboration with international partners, our engines are becoming increasingly eco-friendly, ensuring a significant reduction in polluting emissions, in full compliance with the most recent EURO regulations.
EGR
Efficiency and emission reduction: exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) inside the engine is a further technological innovation that Emak has introduced. This increases engine efficiency by reducing polluting emissions that are harmful to humans and the environment.
Lean burn
With the advent of anti-pollution regulations, we developed a two-stroke engine technology called “Lean Burn”. This involves designing the engine with optimised spark timing combined with a muffler with resonant duct that utilises wave phenomena to reduce unburned hydrocarbons, whilst at the same time maximising performance by increasing power and torque by 20% compared with traditional solutions.

OUR SOLUTIONS
Each product is developed with care and precision, paying great attention to detail to enhance the customer experience. Here you can discover the innovative solutions we apply to our machines.
Tool-free filler cap
The new oil and fuel filler caps ensure faster, tool-free refilling.
Fuel level indicator
The transparent window enables the user to keep a constant eye on the fuel level without having to unscrew the filler cap.
AlwaysOn switch
Quick on/off switch that automatically resets so you are always ready to resume working.
EasyStart system
This starting system consists of a double spring that stores the energy needed to start the engine, reducing operator effort by 70%.
Filtering system
We designed the new three-stage filter system to extend the life of the motor and the paper filter. The first level is a sponge that retains larger particles, followed by a paper filter that captures the finest contaminants and, finally, a fluid diode that prevents fouling caused by petrol waste.
Digital solutions
The new digital solutions enable the user to always stay connected to the new products so that they can:
- link their machines
- monitor the operating parameters
- check the last detected location
- receive notifications about recommended maintenance.
Ice device
This is a system incorporated into our chainsaws that makes it possible to work even at low temperatures, by preventing ice build-up on the air filter.
Primer
All our engines are equipped with a hand pump for easy starting and fuel filling.
Decompressor
This is an automatic valve that, once activated, enables compression to be reduced when starting the engine, thereby drastically reducing operator effort.
Load&Go head
The head has been developed to facilitate loading of cutting line without needing to disassemble the head or use tools. In this way, the operator can reload the head in a very short time and work more efficiently.
